“ Best of 80’s Night - Happenings ” - HAPPY, June 2004

We know 80’s night at Ocean Avenue Brewery in Laguna Beach is your favorite Tuesday night party spot, “cause it’s Happy’s favorite Tuesday night party spot also. Where else can you live the Glamorous Life mid-week when you’re Hungry Like the Wolf?

I guess that’s why DJ Chrizzler has been the Undercover of the Night and has had the Brewery dance floor bumping for two years straight now.

What a run — the fun never stops. Week-in and week-out, it keeps on going and going and going. Just like that little Energizer bunny. Oh wait, may be that’s the other little rabbit. Anyways, Sweet Dreams definitely come true at 80’s night, and it’s why Ocean Avenue, is definitely an O.C. hot spot. From Santa Barbara to San Diego, Valley Girls with Looks that Kill come from all over with their blue eye shadow on, crimped hair, ripped fishnets, leg warmers and their six-inch heels to Go Craazzay!

There are also many celebrity sightings at 80’s night. Bruce Irons, Taj Burrow, Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson, Taylor Knox, Luke Egan, Mike Parsons, Pat Parnell, Sal Masekela, Brad Gerlach, Mike Todd, Jon Rose, Shawn “Barney” Barron, Nate Bozung, Chris Markovitch, etc. have all walked down to the Electric Ocean Avenue when they’re in town. Shit, even NFL superstars Marshall Faulk and Todd Light have been to 80’s night to get Rocked Like a Hurricane. It’s a great way to get rid of a case of the Blue Monday’s! MTV throws casting calls on 80’s night, “cause that’s where the talent is. That’s right, talent baby and Girls on Film!

So, if you’re of the very few who haven’t at least been there once (I’m speaking to the ladies here, of course), and you love to Rock ‘n’Roll then its time to Add it Up. You owe it to yourself. Don’t be a Goodie Two Shoes, break out of your inner Super Freak, Jump in your Little Red Corvette, Come Feel the Noise, grab some neon, tease your hair to the Moon Unit Zappa and Walk Like an Egyptian down to 80’s night, cause they’ll be Burning down the House. This summer will be raging just as hard as ever. Time for a little fun – you owe it to yourself!
